staND!

I love the words of the song as its so.. twist and turned and yet the meanings are clear! Its cool!

Walk in a corner shop
See a shoplifting cop
See the old lady with a gun
See the hero try 2 run
Nothing's what it seems, I mean
It's not all dirty, but it's not all clean
There's children paying bills
There's monks buying thrills
There's pride for sale in magazines
There's pills for rent 2 make u clean
Marvin Gaye, there's no brother, brother
Woody Guthrie's land can't feed Mother

Mothers weep, children sleep
So much violence ends in silence
It's a shame there's no one 2 blame
For all the pain that life brings
If u will just take me It might just complete me
And together we can make a stand

A waitress brings me lunch
We meet but do not touch
On TV, D.C. is selling lies
While in the corner, King's dream dies
Go 2 the counter, pay for me and my friend
A homeless man pulls out a roll, says it's on him
The mayor has no cash
He said he spent it on hookers and hash

Mothers weep, children sleep
So much violence ends in silence
It's a shame there's no one 2 blame
For all the pain that life brings
If u will just take me It might just complete me
And together we can make a stand

U will love me, I will love u

Mothers weep, children sleep
So much violence ends in silence
It's a shame there's no one 2 blame
For all the pain that life brings
If u will just take me It might just complete me
And together we can make a stand

- now go find me a person to blame!

hari RAYA!!!

listening to : phantom of the opera - phantom of the opera soundtrack
mood : good
current status : pissed that I couldn't do my add maths work. lack of brain power

Having to wake up early is not such a big deal anymore I guess. Since I perfectly did it on that day. I got up early so I could mandi wajib and mandi raya too. The air was still cool and thank God theres such invention called 'water heater'. So I tried to cut down my normal shampoo hour from an hour to about 40 minutes. SUCCESS!!

Got ready for out Raya prayers for the morning. Didn't feel like having breakfast as my tummy were doing flip flops. Why you ask!? God knows. Well, at about 8 o'clock, Abah, Ajin and I went to the SS19 mosque. I was pretty nervous as I never prayed there before. I don't even know where the ladies side of the whoel thing is. And made it worse when I was the only one I knew there. When I reached the front gate, two girls walked passed me and I did the only rational thing I could think off. FOLLOW THOSE GIRLS!!!!

When I got there. There weren't many people there. I was ready to make friends with the two girls I trailed a few minutes ago. But God knows who they are, it would seem pretty weird to just walk up to them and go 'so where do they keep the cows?!' Ahahahha. So I sat there alone. Looking around the place, no face were familiar so I sat there looking so.very.stranger.like.

The sight of a girl about my age, sitting next to her mom (I suppose) who was chatting frantically with her lady partner next to her. I had this urge of walking up to her and go all 'hey, can you be prayying buddy'. She looked as if she too could use a friend at the moment. But it would seem pretty weird as I mentioned before. So I just got up form my seta A LOT to look for anyone I know coming in from outside. Niether Gg or Diana came. The only girl I could settle with was Amira Diyanah. My old teak-won-do buddy. Owh sure I know her. BUt the only thing I can talk to her about is 'so you've seen the cows?!'. Not my ideal conversation.

It was a pretty good pray. But the lectures that comes with it were torture. Not the lectures themselves I mean. The fact that I'm practically sleeping at my spot was sucky. But the stories were good. After I was done, I was practically rushing back to the car. I NEED ENTERTAINMENT. I did see the cows in the end!! Yay!!

When we got back, Abah brought us to Shell for sustadance before we have our trip back to my Granny's. I was rushing to pack all thats left to pack. Mmom were already screaming on the top of her lungs. And Imran trailing me everywhere didn't help either. So after I just stuffed all of it in my bag and packed my guitar and went to the car. After all is done, Abah drove us off. Up till I found out that I left my cousin's watch I stole. So we had to turn back to get it. I was running so hard to be as quick as I can.

After a while, I noticed my tudung wasn't in the car. CRAP!!! I left it too. I didn't even need to see how red my mom's face was. Her voice explains it all. She refuses to turn back so we just drove off. The tension and the anger were still there. Heck I just mind my own business with Yellowcard in my ears.

The plan was to stop by my aunt's house before we set off to my Grandma's. My aun't Cik Nun (not not the abby nun in the church) make good nasi dagang. A traditional Malay Cuisine. But the day's wasn't as good as before. So we spent some time there talking about .. things. And can you believe how grown up Shamil is already!? He's like.. FORM 4!!!! And so dang tall!!!

So off we go, a fun fill 2 hours drive to Batu Gajah, Perak. Well, heck I don't know if it was really fun filled or not as I slept through the whole thing. Aahahah. I had to stay I the car in my Baju Kurung okay!! Lucky I had shorts on so it wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would. When I woke up I put on my Yellowcard again and endured the remaining journey.

I put on my kain kurung back again when we almost reached the house. When I did, I dashed inside to salam everyone in sight, and off to change my clothes. After that me and Along spent time talking and wathing tv. I told her about the gifts and she was all.. awwww-ing. After that, the three of Along, Tikah and me spend the time doing homework. Also the whole of us gathered stuck to the tv watching 'My Big Fat Abnoxious Fiance' Poor girl I tell you! Patience is the one thing she had to ENDURE with. Besides the guy himself I mean.

After Along went out with her family to her other Grandma's house, PakSu, Mama, Tiakh and I went to Ipoh for some SHOPPING!!! We went to our favourite shopping mall, JUSCO!! Unfortunately we spent about an hour or more at the shoe section of the place. Owh sure the first 20 minutes were eventful. Until we ran out of shoes to look at. Mama was still going on and on about every shoe she fancied. She found the replica of the current sandal she was wearing that has already gone.. ripped here and there. Ended up buying two pairs of them. Shish!! And still wasn't done!

PakSu too was looking for work shoes and we amde loads of jokes bout it. After that, we went to Padini Authentics and I bought a pair of top. A checkered long sleeve orange blouse with a plain purple blouse to fit. I called it a geek outfit but its really nice actually.

Next we went to buy snacks and canned soups. We skipped the make up part as Mama didn't agree to it. After that, we stopped at Aunty Anne's for PRETZELS!! Miss them! It was Maghrib when we're in the car driving back. The topic of the conversation was the Tsunami disaster. A rush of fear crept in my body. Endlessly thanking God that we're safe.

When we got to Batu Gajah, we stopped at Mee Fong. A historical restaurant for our family. Its a tradition that anytime we go back to kampung, a stop to Mee Fong has to be done. So we did. I was cmaping out at the back of the car on my spot listening to more of Yellowcard. Mama and Tikah were in it too whilst waiting for PakSu buying the food. Out of nowhere, this man. An old chinese 'kerepot' man hanged out outside my window. Mama locked the car as she felt uneasy. Suddenly he came to my window, as directly peeking inside. I got so damned scared, he looked as if he was looking for something to steal. Like hell I almost cried. He was staring dircetly in the car. My mom told me not to look at him and instead she was. I don't know what happened but I felt so scared. After a while the man moved away. LIKE HELL STUPID ARSE HOLE!! ok whoops!!

-this blog is no swear words friendly-

anyways, when we got back, Tikah and I shared mee hailam and it was.. kind of dry. Not that good. We were watching television when Along came back. She dashed to the room and I know Along has her mood swings and this was one of it. I let her be first as I continued watching tv.

Now playing hero. I went to the room and it was dark. I sat next to Along and we talked. After a while, Tikah came in and we all chat. After about an hour or so, we went back out and watched save the last dance. It was a good movie. End up the day with SLEEP!!

I breakfast-ed with lemang and rendang!! Yum!!! After that we watched Princess Diaries. Only after it finished when we found out A Walk To Remember was on at the same time. DANG IT!!! So after that, I was playing catch with Imran when my phone flew of my pocket and fell right in fornt of my mom. And imagine how mad she was. 'Tu lar! Addicted to the phone sangat!!' And after a while when I kinda.. replied to her anger, it causes my phone to be confiscated. Non access for a month. DANG!!

After all was settled again, I went to make Sambal Ikan Bilis like I promised. It tastes GOOD!! And my next task was to make sambal tempoyak. Success too!! Lunch was pretty good. After the whole, I don't remember what I did. Waste time my guess. Homework not progressing.

In the evening, all of us got into a Hindustan movie. It was a good movie. I like I like. I know Hindustan is so last season! You know, the kind of movie you get into when you're in Standard 3 like that. But it was still good!!

When the movie ended, I did my homework. And after a while, my Pak Su called me out and invited me for a motorcycle ride with him. I've been pushing him to give me one so I was al happy and excited when he did.

Little did I know that the invitation had a purpose of its own. Suddenly he started introducing me to all the parts of the motorcycle. The breaks, the gears, the 'tekan minyak' thingamajig. It was kind of cool to learn all those. But at one point in the middle of the road, he stopped, ushered me off, moved to the back seat, and gave me way for the driver's seat. I was all 'WHAT!!! AM I READY!? ARE YOU SURE!?'

Excited I was of course but still so nervous. I eman what if I got into an accident, what if I can't balance the thing, what if I fall of the motorcycle, or worse, what if I look like a person who just learned to drive the motorcycle. AHAHAHA. But non-the-less, I gathered my courage and did it. Sure it was very.. BLURGH.. at the start, but I got the hang of it after a while.

When I saw a dog, the only thing my uncle could say is 'Kalau nampak anjing, memang dia akan kejar. But jangan panic'. And guess what I did!? I PANICKED!! And the dog did! Trailed us I mean, and when I made a turn, the dog was almost near me, and I did the one thing I always do at situations like this (not that I have it very often pon), I SHRIEKED!!!

The embarrassing part was that at the place it happened, THERE WERE PEOPLE FROM EVERY CORNER!!! Its so embarrassing. So much for looking like a pro-motorcycle driver. Ahahhaha. All eyes were on me and my uncle called me a beruk for that!! Whoops! I could just laugh and speed off away from the place. But it was good especially when we almost reached home. IT WAS GOOD!! IT WAS ALL GOOD!!

That night we had girly night. It is for your information, a time for girls to be.. GIRLS. But I think we 3 had overdone it. We talked in the utmost girly-est voice you'd ever hear. It sounds so fake. We had our hands in a girly pose. And even had girly nicknames.

Ashleys - since its the girly-est name I could think of. and also thats what the girly girls' names were in Recess.

Ahsley S - for sash aka. me
Ashley A - for atka aka. tikah
Ashley M - for malia aka amalia (along)

Owh God I could hear the sounds of our girly voice ringing in my ears. And up till this day when I see my cousin, we'd be doing and impersonation of how we were on that day! YARGH!!! I don't think anyone would even come near us if they see us like THAT!! But it was such fun!!

After a while we got tired of the acting so we thought we'd go to real girly night with real talk about real issues in the real world. Ahahaha. The next thing I remembered the 3 of us were sprawled on the single bed and talking bout problems, experiences and our past life. It was serious. But it felt good as I got to express my anger of a certain part of my life and it may actually be all forgotten!

And then I went to slumberland...

The next morning when I just woke up, my cousin Amy came in my room and she saw my guitar. She nudged me to play the You Were Meant For Me with her. And we did. The joke was that I didn't even had time to brush my teeth. Ahahahaha. After that I got up for a shower. And later I packed everything because we were going to come back soon. After all is done, I had my Grandma's initial Nasi Goreng. Its so sedap!! Let me tell you, no one can make good Nasi Goreng as my Grandma does. Also no one can beat her Laksa Asam, her Roti Canai, her sambal Ikan Bilis, and her Kuih Udang. All these are my family's food. We ALL LOVE IT!!!

Then we set off home. Again, I slept through the whole thing. It is better to sleep actually. You'd wake up and see yourself 10 minutes away for your place. NICE NICE!!

When I got home I unpack and blar blar and then I did.. STUFF!!!

So Raya was not so bad. I got to ride a motorcycle.! FUN FUN FUN!!! and my girly talk and stuff!!! IT WAS ALL GOOD!!!

owh by the way. I'm addicted to the numa numa guy!! If you guys don't know what that is.. check out this site!
